Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain Workbook
With the success of Betty Edwards’ Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, she designed this handy workbook to make the learning process even more enjoyable. It is an excellent tool for older students (age 12 and teens) and adults. The Workbook offers forty new exercises that cover each of the five basic skills of drawing. Each lesson includes instructional drawings, suggestions for materials, sample drawings, and blank pages for the student’s own drawings. Also provided in this large, spiral-bound workbook is a pullout viewfinder, a crucial tool for effective practice. While the exercises in the book, Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, focus on portrait drawing with pencil, the Workbook expands students’ experience to new subject matter, such as still life, landscape, imaginative drawings. The Workbook also teaches students the use of alternative mediums such as pen and ink, charcoal, and conte crayon. We highly recommend a copy of this handy tool for each student undertaking the activities in Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain.
