Talking Textiles

This book for kids age 8 – 12 shows how textiles are made with bright, engaging pages packed with photos and illustrations.  The Step-up Art and Design series is for elementary-school pupils in grades 3 to 6, adding depth and breath to lesson plans and teaching strategies.  People have been creating and using textiles for thousands of years. This book shows how we make textiles, add color and pattern to them, use them-for example, in fashion and interior design-and finally recycle them.
