Use this small kit as a one-time-only exploration into oil painting (and simply use up all the materials). To use the materials over several lessons, you will need a brush cleaner to preserve the two paint brushes. An appropriate solvent such as Turpentine, Turpenoid or Mineral Spirits are available at your local hardware or art supply store, if not already in your own paint supply cupboard. There’s plenty of paint and oil pastel to create many more paintings on other canvas surfaces.

KidsArt would additionally recommend that oil painting is suitable for kids age 12 or older, and only with adult supervision and discussion on the safe use of art products.
