Collect some leaves from neighborhood trees and bushes. Try to find leaves that have fallen off the plant rather than picking them.

Using a bold black marker pen or a black crayon, draw your leaves on a sheet of drawing paper. Look at them carefully and draw them larger than life size. Fill the paper. Draw other random shapes and patterns behind the leaves.
Using watercolors, paint your shapes with amazing rainbow colors, or any color scheme you like. The paint colors do not need to be realistic green and brown of the real leaves you found…we’re going for sparkle here.
Finally, draw the veins inside each leaf with glitter glue. If you have some other shiny things, like jewels or sequins or bits of foil, glue some of that bling here and there.
It’s the most glittering, sparkly nature art ever!
